SPARKLE AWAY !!!!!!! DMC SPARKLING DUST-PART 1

Hello to all !!!!!!

It's Anita here with another amazing journey through wonderful projects with  DMC products.
Dress My Craft -a new entrant in the crafting world is already making news and its products are so wonderful that one just cannot overlook their beauty.

Last month we took you on dazzling display of DMC sequins -show casing not one but 20 varieties.....thats incredibly versatile. And what a range !!!!!!

This month we will show case another beauty from DMC and that is SPARKLING DUST.

This shimmer powder gives an ultra high glittered look to any surface and can be easily adhered with any glue ranging from mat gel, glossy accent, crackle accent etc.
It can be used for jewellery making, on flowers, sos peso, mixed media and much more. It comes in two packs of 30 gms and money saver 90 gms pack and is real value for money.

Here in my projects , I have used the sparkling dust in various ways to show how easy it is to use in many ways giving a new look to each project.

On chip board

Sparkling powder adheres easily to chip board cut outs transforming their look completely.
For this card, I have applied distress oxide ink Broken china on a chip board and dried it with heat gun. Then I applied a thin layer of glossy accent and added the powder.
See how this adds glitz to an otherwise plain card.

With Adhesive tape

Sparkling dust adheres very well with any adhesive tape like double sided adhesive tapes or red tacky glue tape and lovely backgrounds can be created. Here for this envelope, I have created a sparkling striped background and then distressed it . The shimmer does not get dull with the ink and shines through the colour. Such background can be used to create plaid patterns and other backgrounds of different colours. This envelope is apt for any festive occasion .

With Modelling Paste
Another wonderful way of using the sparkling dust is with modelling paste. We can get a sparkly textured background in this way as it is on the envelope above and the card here. In both cases, I have mixed a little paint with the clear crackle paste and used a stencil to create my design. While the paste is still wet, apply the powder all over and leave it to dry removing the extra. On drying with heat gun , the paste puffs up giving a more 3D texture.

On Mixed Media Background

Jazz up any mixed media background with the sparkling powder. The multi medium mat gel is an excellent medium that maintains the shimmer of these powders and mixed with the frosted sugar powder, they look amazing. Here is an example.

On Jewellery

For this piece here, I have mixed sparkling powder with Frosted Sugar powder to add a little texture and also add shimmer to my ornament.

On Flowers

Last but not the least, sparkling powder looks amazing on flowers. Apply a thin layer of glossy accent on any flowers and sprinkle the powder. Look at the flowers shine away .

So these projects will tempt you to buy the Sparkling Dust from Dress My Craft  and believe me this will be a special product on your craft table.
